The Heart Essence of the Dakini Retreat

Ngagpa Karma Lhundup Rinpoche, a yogi of the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, will teach yogas, centred on "tummo" (the fierce inner heat) in the context of the practice of the "Dakini Heart Essence" (Khandro Thugtig). This is part of the "New Treasures", the "Dudjom Tersar", revealed by Dudjom Rinpoche. It is very rare to find an opportunity to receive such teachings from an authentic teacher anywhere at all - this is quite an extraordinary opportunity.

Dur Ceremony and Fire Puja

Ngakpa Karma Lhundup Rinpoche will perform this ancient Tibetan Exorcism Ceremony.

The whole ritual is done through the power and practice of Troma Nagmo (the Black Wrathful Vajrayogini), and the host of her other wrathful female retinue.

The purpose of this ceremony is to catch, bind and liberate the consciousness of the ten different male and female demonic forces who are responsible for causing untimely death, divorce, unhappiness, disharmony, physical and mental illness, war, famine, earthquakes, floods, and so on. In brief, these demonic forces cause restlessness during the daytime and sleeplessness in the night time.

The main power behind this ritual is the unbiased great compassion of Troma Nagmo.

Traditionally Tibetans do the Dur Ceremony for all deaths and to stop undesirable circumstances for the living. This ceremony is extremely beneficial for those who are trapped as ghosts after death.

The participants have to whistle, scream, and shout during the ceremony. You may bring photos and names of those who have died.

The spirit catching ceremony is concluded by a concise fire puja ritual in which we will offer the harmful spirits as a great feast into the sacred mouths of the five glorious dakinis in the five directions, thus liberating the five energies into the nature of emptiness.

(afternoon and evening)

10th, 11th & 12th Retreat Dudjom Troma Nakmo Chöd Retreat

The Dudjom Troma Nakmo Empowerment is a prerequisite for attending this retreat

Retreat on the Troma Nakmo Chöd Practice; The Heart Essence Teachings of the Dakini. This practice cuts attachment to ego, delusion, and the inner, outer and secret phenomenon in order to liberate beings.

It is a complete path in itself covering all yanas all the way to dzogpachenpo.

The goal of this retreat is recognize that all females are the emanations of Troma Nakmo and to realize the ultimate Troma Nakmo: All Phenomena, Self and Others are naturally, inherently Shunyata. This is the absolute meaning of Dakini or Troma Nakmo. Any man who realize this Shunyata is also a Dakini! Ngakpa Karma Lhundup Rinpoche

Those interested in learning this practice in retreat should consider purchasing a Chöd drum (Chöd damaru), vajra and ghanta (bell), and a resin thin bone trumpet (kangling).

Maurice (Tenzin) has 3 Chöd drums for sale (shatsang(at)mpx.com.au)

There are many places you can order Chöd drums & Kanglings. Probably the best place to inquire is the Chöd forum on E-sangha.

The vajrayana and dzogchen preliminary practices according to the Dudjom Tersar tradition

The crucial point of all the generation and completion stage, what all the books have been written for, the crucial point, is that Guru Padmasambhava's mind, the Lama's mind (who is your own Guru Rinpoche) and your own mind, right from the begining, have never been separate! Right from the begining-less, never separate! And to remain in this divine state which is neither divine or not divine is how to perform prostrations. Anything else is just like regular exercises. Donations for Teachings (in Melbourne)

A suggested donation for each session is $20, but if you are having financial difficulties a gold coin donation or whatever is welcome. Ordained sangha can attend for free. If you wish to be more generous you can always make a direct offering to Rinpoche himself with traditional khata and envelope.

Rinpoche's travel to Australia has be kindly donated by an anonymous sponsor.

It is traditional to make some form of offering to receive Dharma teachings, but traditionally there is no formal fee for Dharma teachings. So where possible, we try to implement this spirit.

In the West we do have basic running costs and venue hire to meet. If we struggle to meet these, we struggle to provide support for the teachings. We take all running costs out of money offered (donations), then offer Rinpoche the rest of the money.
